Charles Schronk

Charles Ed Schronk, 77 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2018 in Ennis. He was born May 2, 1941 in Bynum, Texas.

Charles loved to play golf and hunt. He was an avid gun collector and loved antiques. He enjoyed remodeling rent houses and was a member of the Waxahachie Bible Church. He was active at the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro and became a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Highland Baptist Church in Waco.

He began selling cars when he was 19 with Dobbs and Company where he worked for 25 years and then began his career with Thornhill Motor Company of Waxahachie in 1978 and he retired in 2014.

Charles had a giving and generous heart and loved helping people. If he found someone in need, he did everything he could to help them. Most of all, Charles loved his family and was very devoted to all of them. He will be missed by so many.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Schronk; his sons, Lonnie Schronk and his wife, Diana Salazar of Roanoke, Dale Schronk and Duane Schronk of Plano; brothers, Bob Schronk and wife, Gaye of Abilene, Billy Schronk and wife, Sylvia of Frankston; his grandchildren, Alissa Kilgore and her husband, Michael of Grandview, Valerie Salazar of Dallas, Kristina Rodriguez of Ft. Worth; his great Grandchildren, Cassidie, Tristan and Nicolas Kilgore of Grandview.

He is also survived by family from Virginia; Step son, Jay Trull and wife, Amy of Waxahachie; step daughter, Jennifer Trull of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Braxton Alsup, Kyran Alsup, Jackson Trull, Jamison Trull.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Schronk; his brother, Gary Schronk; and also by his sisters, JoNell Davis and Mary Ellen Schronk.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Guardian Home Health and also to Bristol Hospice for their wonderful care. The family would also like to say a very special thank you to Melissa, Mary, Sandra, Sally, Robbie and Braxton. These individuals are truly Angels and they did so much in helping Charles during his final days and hours.

A memorial service to celebrate Charles' life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
