Charles Johnson, 76 of Milford, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in Italy. He was born to the late Charles H. & Clara Schroeder Johnson on September 18, 1932 in Gilbert, AZ.

Charles great love and passion in his life was his family and Scouting. In Scouting he urned the Silver Beaver Award. He served our country in the United States Air Force for 10 years. Charles was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Waxahachie. He will be missed my so many who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Johnson of Milford; his children, Steven Johnson and his wife, Jamie of Milford, Cheryl Sessums and her husband, Danny of Waxahachie, Evelyn Bergquist and her husband, Steven of Midlothian, Jeffrey Johnson and his wife, Lisa of Midlothian, Andrew Johnson and his wife, Diane of Milford, Ruth Olpin and her husband, Rex of Folsom, CA, and Joel Johnson and his wife, Nikky of Highland, UT; his sister, Mary Rucker and her husband, Roy of Payson, UT; he is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Blackwood.

Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Waxahachie with Jim Ayres officiating. Interment will follow at the Milford Cemetery under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the church and will last until service time.
