Charles Leon Jackson, 72, passed away on January 10, 2025, in Red Oak. Born on March 15, 1952, Charles was known for his humor and deep devotion to his family.Charles proudly served in the Navy aboard the USS Saratoga, bringing dedication and camaraderie to his service. Following his military career, he continued to serve his community as a mechanic and later as the shop foreman for the Ellis County Sheriff's Department. Outside of his professional life, Charles was passionate about cars, enjoyed family vacations, and was always ready for a trip to the casino. He also had a love for watching Westerns, and action movies which provided him with much enjoyment. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sonja Jackson; his sons, Brandon Jackson and his spouse Jessica, Brian Jackson and his spouse Keri; his daughter, Jenny Kim and her spouse Edward; his brother, David Dauben; his sister, Barbara Carnell. His legacy lives on with 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who will miss him dearly. He will be remembered not just for his roles in the Navy and at the sheriff's department, but as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
