Charles Edward Hicks, Jr., Maypearl High School Senior, passed away Sunday.
He was born in Dallas to Charles Edward and Edie Marie (Bishop) Hicks. Charles was a member of the Maypearl Marching Band, Jazz Band and the Maypearl Choir.

He is survived by: his parents, Charles E. and Edie Hicks of Venus; brother, Mason Parker Hicks, also of Venus; grandparents, Al and Beverly Hicks of Caney City, TX., Van Giles of Maypearl, Gail and John Eldridge of Midlothian, and David and Sherry Bishop of South Fork, CO.; great grandparents, Joe and Gladys Donnell of Midlothian and LuEllen Bishop of Mansfield; aunts and uncles, Dawn and Jim Masek of Dallas, Kim Bankston and Larry Bond of Midlothian, Jerrie and Rex Wall and Stewart Hicks, all of Maypearl; numerous cousins, friends and family; and his girlfriend, Jessica Swindell.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM Thursday, May 12, 2005, in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Kevin Peterson officiating. Pallbearers will be Derek Bankston, Matt Brazier, Karl Kowalskie, Casey Crocker, Jonathan Weise, Eric Mulvaney, Blake Harris and Robert Lackey. Interment will follow in the Maypearl Cemetery.

A Memorial Fund has been set up for Charles at the First State Bank of Maypearl, 100 Main St., Maypearl, TX. 76064, phone number 972-435-2131.
