Charles D. Fidler, 87 of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 in Red Oak. He was born on August 9, 1928 in Johnstown, PA to the late Frank and Hazel Cooper Fidler.
Charles loved wood working, airplanes, photography, computers and traveling with his family. He and Vivian traveled the world and relished their time together. Charles' first love was his beloved Vivian and family. His second love was his country; Charles served our great nation for 22 years, retiring from the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Sons of the American Revolution. Charles was a remarkable handy man and was known as someone who could fix anything. His legacy will live on and he will always be remembered and continually loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian D. Fidler; his daughters, Nan T. Hannush and Cindy L. Fidler; his granddaughters, Lynda C. Hannush and Susan M. Hannush; his great grandchildren, Connor J. Hannush and Natalie J. Hannush.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel Cooper Fidler; and also by his sisters, Annie Dishong and Thelma Orth.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Perkins.
Interment with full military honors will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery immediately following.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
