Mr. Charles Blanton Duke passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 peacefully at Buffalo Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Mr. Duke was born in Waxahachie, Texas on December 6, 1921, the son of the late Blanton D. and Leta (Daniels) Duke. He attended Sterrett School, was a life long farmer and worked for Haggar Slacks for 39 years. Charles married Irene Beets in Waxahachie December 21, 1959. He was a longtime member of Farley Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Irene Duke of Waxahachie; two sons, Billy Wayne Duke and his wife Carol of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, Larry Feaster of Waxahachie; seven grandchildren, Wayne Duke, David Duke, Key Duke, Jack Duke, Glenn Duke, Blanton Feaster, Natalie Needham; seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; also surviving is the mother of his grandchildren, Juanita Duke.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Brother Richard Smith and Brother Grady Cashion officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Wayne Duke, David Duke, Key Duke, Jack Duke, Glenn Duke, Blanton Feaster and David Needham.

The family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
