Celester Joy Shuford Ratzman 08-11-1941 10-25-2010 Celester Joy Shuford Ratzman, 69 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born to the late George L. and Emma Kate Shadrick Shuford on August 11, 1941, in Georgetown, GA. Joy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family very much and loved spending time with them. She retired from Citizens National Bank in Waxahachie after 30 years of service. Joy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Robert John Ratzman; her son, John Scott Ratzman; her daughter, Tammy Ratzman Chapman; she is also survived by five grandchildren; and her sister, Patsy Shuford Woodham. Those serving as honorary pallbearers include Beverly Worthington, Peggy Loftis, Nelda Berry, Joan Morton, Janelle Thorton and Janie Moses. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 South 5th Street, Waco, Texas. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
