Cecil Edward Parson, 65 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 in Dallas. He was born on August 12, 1950 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Cecil was the owner and operator of Parson Instrumentation and Electrical of Waxahachie for over 25 years. He was a master electrician and was certified in multiple states. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and BBQ. He loved fish fries and crawfish boils and shopping at Cabelas. Cecil served our country in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the local VFW in Waxahachie. Most of all, Cecil loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be forever missed and continually loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Parson of Waxahachie; his son, Gregory Parson and his wife, Loretta of Navasota; his daughters, Karissa Dean and her husband, Tony of Brownwood, Michelle Witmer and her husband, Dan of Plano, Bridget Acosta and her husband, Desmond of Plano and Cindy Harrelson of Lakeland, FL; his sisters, Diana Weston and her husband, Phil of Holdenville, Ok, Roberta Sams and her husband, Bain of Wewoka, Ok; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; he was also preceded by his brother, John Doppelman.Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Pastor Norman Finke officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery, Waxahachie.Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
