Cecil Milton Ledbetter, age 86
March 24, 1918
July 5, 2004

Mr. Ledbetter, retired street worker for the city of Ft. Worth, passed away Monday at Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth. He was born in Maypearl to E. V. and Lula (Cox) Ledbetter. Cecil was a decorated soldier in WWII, where he received American Theater campaign medal, EAME Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star good conduct medal, meritorious unit award, Victory Ribbon, 1 service stripe 3.

Cecil is survived by: sister, Evelyn Horton; sister-in-law, Effie Ledbetter both of Ft. Worth; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Oldham Cemetery with Reverend Tony Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow.
