Cecil H. Green, age 92

Mr. Green passed away Saturday at his residence in Waxahachie. Cecil was born in Italy, Texas the eldest of six children to Willie Ernest and Mattie (Ray) Green. He graduated from Waxahachie High School and joined the US Army during W.W.II in 1941. He served as a Military Policeman in the European Theatre and Japan. He married Flora Lee Tennery, November 17, 1943 in Waxahachie. Cecil was a past Deacon and lifetime member of the Farley Street Baptist Church. He retired from Tyler Refrigeration after 37 years of employment in the Shipping and Receiving Department. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan and loved sports. He and his late wife Flora celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2003.

He is survived by; twin daughters, Darlene Kirchen and Charlene Small both of Waxahachie, one sister Louise Huffstutler and her husband Bill of Ennis, four grandchildren, Darla Stapleton and her husband Richard, Bryan Autrey and his wife Beverly, Christie Autrey, and Daryl Jackson. Also surviving are 12 great-grand children, 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years, his son Dan, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Sunday evening, December 9, 2007, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Monday, December 10th, 2007 at 2PM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Midlothian Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Bryan Autrey, Daryl Jackson, Brandon Autrey, Richard Stapleton, Jimmy Gardner, and Cameron Autrey. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jack Brown, Bill Huffstutler, and Casey Tennery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
