Cathie Brisendine

Cathie Hopgood Brisendine, 65, passed away on April 21, 2015 in Waxahachie. She was born on April 11, 1950 to Melvin D. Hopgood and Gertie Barnett Hopgood in Waxahachie. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, George Hopgood. Cathie loved spending time with her family and is survived by her children, Rachael Sutton and husband, Steven, and Ronnie Brisendine and wife, Lacy; brothers, Steve, Eddie, Terry and Jerry Hopgood; sisters, Sue Jackson and Rose Stegall; grandchildren, Caitlin, Brandon, Ryan, Logan, Bryson and Megan; great grandchildren, Caycen and Camden; and countless nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 9:00 am at Midlothian First Baptist Church, 1850 S. Midlothian Pkwy in Midlothian. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Oak Branch Cemetery.
