Casey Ross Freeman, age 23

Casey Ross Freeman, as of May 28, 2007, passed away at the age of 23. We all knew Casey, if not personally, then certainly by name. A local football hero, celebrity and a Red Oak graduate of 2003, he was known for his love of life and the smile he managed to bring out of us all, even when we were at our worst. He has touched us all in different ways and being the charismatic man that he was, he would not have wished us to focus on the negative, but rather remember those moments that we had the fortune to share with him. Life will not be as bright without him.

As written in Ecclesiastes 12:7, "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

Casey is survived by: his loving parents, Vickie and John Freeman, Leigh Ann Fox; brother, Corey Freeman; step brothers, Weston and Justin Fox; step sister, Meagan Fox; grandfather, Carl Schorr of Salida, CO.; grandparents, Bill and Peggy Dickey of Red Oak, TX.; great grandmother, Ruthie May Potts of Henderson, TX.; aunts and uncles, Lee and Cindy Watson of Ft. Sill, OK., John and Jan Potts of Heath, TX., J.R. and Rita Haas of Lake Tawokoni, TX., Jake and Doris Baugh of Ferris, TX., Don and Judy Freeman of Terrell, TX., Walt Freeman of Lancaster, TX., Tim Freeman of FL.; also a slew of cousins, too many to mention.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Red Oak Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2:10 PM Friday, June 1, 2007 in the chapel of the funeral home with interment following in the Red Oak Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
