Carolyn Holmes

Carolyn Ann Holmes, age 74, passed from this life on April 13, 2019 in Waxahachie, Texas, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and dear friends.

She and her late husband, Reverend Don Holmes, were ministers for more than 40 years, pastoring in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Missouri.  The lives they touched in service to Christ are immeasurable.  Carolyn was a loving mother and homemaker, a skilled cook and seamstress, and an amazing vocalist.  In recent years, "GiGi" loved moments spent with her 5, new great-grandbabies.  She was best known for her exceptional kindness, her big laughter, her beauty and dignity, her peaceful, contented spirit, and her sparkling, blue diamond eyes.  She was adored and respected by those who knew her, and will be deeply missed until we are reunited in Eternity.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Don.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-love, Shane and Connie Holmes of Arlington, Texas, her daughter, Radonna Holmes of Waxahachie, Texas, her grandchildren, Michael and Melody Holmes, Britt and CeCe Holmes, Alyssa and Devin Nelson, Ethan Holmes, Ty Burns, and Trevor Burns, and her great-grandchildren, Haley, Ezekiel, Sophia, Rylynn, Remi, and one on the way.  She is also survived by her beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Dr. Walt and Veronica Spradling of Ardmore, OK and Laddie and Sandy Gaylord of Fairview, OK.

Services celebrating Carolyn's Life will be held Saturday, April 20,2019 at 10 o'clock in the morning in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Walt Spradling and Pastor Michael Holmes officiating.
