Carol Hinds

Carol Ann Watson Hinds was born November 1, 1933 in Italy, Texas to Elvis Edward Watson and Myrtle Odell Watson. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends in Waxahachie on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie with internment to follow in the Italy Cemetery in Italy, Texas.

Carol Ann graduated from Italy High School in 1950. She obtained Bachelor of the Arts degree in Psychology from University of Texas at Dallas in 1985, and completed her course requirements for a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Carol Ann married Don Barrow Hinds on December 26, 1953 in Grand Prairie, Texas, who preceded her in death.

Carol Ann worked for Hunt Oil in the late 1950s and became a housewife and mother in 1960. She was a lifelong avid Bridge player and achieved Life Master status with the American Contract Bridge League. She was an avid book reader and loved horse racing. She loved her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Waxahachie.

Carol Ann is survived by her three sons and their families, Clay Hinds and his wife, Lisa, Vance Hinds and his wife, Mary, and, Jarrett Hinds and Myia Kuykendall, all of Waxahachie, She is also survived by grandchildren Katelyn Hinds of Waxahachie, Jacob Hinds and his wife Jessica of Waxahachie, Taylor Hinds of Los Angeles, California, Chesley Hinds, Emma Hinds, Don C. Hinds and Madeleine Hinds of Waxahachie and two great grandchildren, Jett and Jaci Hinds of Waxahachie along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friends Vicki and Clint Vickers. Her vivacious and audacious personality will be missed.
