Caleb Neal

June 3, 1995 — June 30, 2017

Caleb Spencer Neal, 22 of Waxahachie, was called Home to be with his Heavenly Father, Friday, June 30, 2017. He was born in Dallas on June 3, 1995.
Caleb lived life to the fullest and slept only when absolutely necessary. He loved life, people and the Lord. His goal was to serve the Lord with every ounce of energy within him, whether that was joking and having a good time with friends, studying for a test, playing various musical instruments, working on the job, volunteering at camp, or singing and playing the guitar as he worshipped the Lord with his whole being.
The Lord graciously began drawing Caleb to Himself as a young child. Caleb responded to the Lord and believed that Jesus was God and that His death paid for all Caleb's sin. This simple act of belief started Caleb's journey of knowing and following the Lord. Caleb's relationship with the Lord continued to grow until June 30 around 1:30 pm, when Caleb's earthly life ended and his life in heaven started. Caleb is now in the presence of the Lord praising Him and seeing Him face to face.
Caleb was a member of the Waxahachie Indian Band. He served as Drum Major his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years, where he received multiple all-state honor band recognitions and awards. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was honored as Salutatorian of his class.
He was to begin his Senior year at Texas Tech University, where he currently holds a 4.0 GPA. There he served as a Community Advisor in the Chitwood-Weymouth residence hall. Caleb was very excited and planned to go to Seminary to receive his Master's in Worship Ministry.
He was a member of the Waxahachie Bible Church where he was involved in children, youth and worship ministry. While in college, Caleb joined the First Baptist Church in Lubbock where he was a member of the college worship band and occasionally in the adult services and events.
He encouraged those he encountered to seek after God, follow the Lord completely and that they had value to not only Caleb but to God as well.
He is survived by his father, Richard "Ed" Neal of Waxahachie; his mother, Winnie Neal of Waxahachie; his brother, Matthew Neal and his wife, Ashley of Waxahachie; his sister, Tiffany Neal of Waxahachie; and many extended family, including grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins, living in Missouri, Kansas and Texas.
Services to celebrate Caleb's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Waxahachie Bible Church. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
