Bridgett Ann Borden

High Island, TX

Mrs. Borden passed away at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston Tuesday afternoon. Bridgett was born in Waxahachie, Texas to John Truman and Hazel Marie (Benne) Futch. She was a 1977 graduate of Waxahachie High School and married Robert “Bob” Benjamin Borden on March 24, 1978. They resided in Waxahachie until her husband’s retirement in 1994, at which time they moved to the Bolivar Peninsula. Bridgett was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was also a remarkable cook. She enjoyed preparing meals and baked goods for her family and friends, especially during the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, her parents, sister, and grandparents.

She is survived by her sons; Robert B. Borden Jr. and his wife Amie of Manvel, Brice W. Borden and his wife Vianney of Dickinson, Brandon J. Borden and his wife Melissa of Angleton, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, June 18th at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Forreston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Benjamin Borden, Brent Borden, Brett Borden, Brock Borden, and Peyton Borden.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Larry White, Billy Don Street, Benny Barrow, Jim Shurtleff, and Thomas Wiles.
