Brenda Gail Kelly, 61 of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born to the late Fred and Loeva Adkins Bartlett on January 6, 1947 in Dallas, Texas.
Brenda had many wonderful qualities. She was kind, wise, fun-loving, but most of all, Brenda was caring. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School and attended Dallas Baptist University. Brenda was always thoughtful and considerate with her words and her actions. She was always more concerned about others than she was herself. Brenda truly lived a life of service to others. She never met a stranger and showed genuine care and concern to everyone she came into contact with. She was such a blessing in the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Dan Kelly of Waxahachie; her daughters, Sandra Jones and her husband, Paul of Tyler, Dani Cagle and her husband, Sean of Waxahachie; her son, Travis Kelly of Waxahachie; her sister, Shelley Goreham and her husband, Dan of Quinlan; 5 grandchildren, Nate and Madeline Jones, Loeva, Silas, and Cora Cagle; aunt and uncle, Gladys and Glen Looney of Denison; mother-in-law, Eloise Kelly of Waxahachie; step-mother, Margaret Bartlett of Grand Prairie; and numerous additional family and many friends.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Waxahachie Bible Church with Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
