Brenda Hilborn

Brenda Jo Hilborn, 64, of Waxahachie, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born November 3, 1955, in Canton, Texas, to Joseph Carlton and Audie Mae (Wharton) Leach. She was preceded in death by her Parents and 13 Brothers and Sisters.

Brenda is survived by her spouse Bobby Hilborn of Arlington; son, Aaron Hilborn of Waxahachie, daughter Amy Hilborn (Thomas Cunniff) of Grand Prairie; daughter, Jennifer (Billy) Hudgins of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Krissy Shoecraft, Marissa (Tyler) Galbraith, Paige Hudgins, Kyliee Hilborn, Thomas Cunniff Jr. ; and great granddaughter Luci Gonzalez; sister Vonnie Malone of Royce City; brother Donnie (Kathy) Leach of Lipton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends that loved her.

Brenda was a graduate of Navarro Community College in 2012, with an AAS in Medical Billing and Coding. She retired from her career as an adjustor with American Mail Well in 2018. She was an intelligent woman and she worked hard to care for those nearest and dearest to her throughout her life.

She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, and spending precious time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, playing board games, crafting, fishing, cruising, and the ocean. She had an uncanny ability to haggle at garage and estate sales; as this was one of her favorite pastimes. She collected dragons, wizards, castles, and precious moments knickknacks. Brenda was a volunteer at Waxahachie Cares and other locations throughout the Midlothian and Waxahachie communities. She was one of a kind and will be missed by all that knew her.

Her celebration of life service will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2020. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Funeral Home at 1826 West Highway 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX 75165.
