Brenda Carroll McBride

Brenda Carroll McBride, age 74, passed away on September 24, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born December 1, 1949, in Dallas Texas to her loving mother, Margaret Childress Mayes and father, A.J. Mayes. She attended Plano High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Jerry Wayne McBride, and together they raised three children, Greg, Jason, and Julie. 

Brenda was a nurturing, loving wife, and mother. She was a selfless person who found joy in helping those she loved. She had an incredibly special bond with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many of her happiest moments were spent with family on holidays with everyone enjoying her delicious cooking along with humorous and entertaining conversation. 

Brenda was employed with Gibson’s, where she met her future husband, and worked as an office manager with J & W Carpets for over 30 years before retiring. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents A.J. and Margaret Childress Mayes, her sister, Rebecca Ann Mayes, brother Gary Mayes, and son, Greg McBride. Brenda is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne McBride, her son, Jason McBride and his wife Gail, her daughter Julie Rodstrom, sister Linda Kocher and her husband Jerry, brother Guion Mayes and his wife Susan; grandchildren Bryce, Heather, Jake, Morgan, Mollie, Haley, Christian, Ashton, Nicolas, Jillian, Gunner and Cody; great-grandchildren Oliver, Joanna, Amelia, Remi, Rowan, Noah, Ben, Jett, Dawson, Olivia and Carter
