Brenda Joyce Bishop passed away on June 28, 2019 at the age of 66. She was born on March 27, 1953 in Corsicana, TX to Bobbie Hill and Gilbert Sutherlin.
She was a wife, mother and friend to everyone she met. She loved her babies (her dogs) Dandy, Lucy and Molly. She loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars and frequently attended games with her work family. Brenda loved her career as an accountant and worked for Haynes and Boone Law firm in dallas, tX and recently celebrated her 30 year milestone with the company and was so proud of that recognition.
Brenda was a stage four cancer survivor for sixteen years and she fought it like a warrior. She attended every Susan Komen race for her firm and always ended up on the Pink Honor Roll, this is a role that she was always very proud of. Brenda was chosen as Clarice Tinsley's Hometown Here on October 12, 2015 and was featured on Fox 4 News for making her little pink ribbons that she proudly and carefully made with love to sell in order to receive funds for the Komen Fund; she did this faithfully every year and always looked forward to being apart of the campaign.
Brenda loved life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved and cherished her granddaughter Ashley Colleen that took very good care of her and became her nurse over the years. Brenda loved her Grandson Cody Keith and enjoyed watching sports with him. She cherished her granddaughter in love Kennedy Granco and was very much looking forward to her new Great Grand Baby Nash Cooper that will be debuting in December.
Brenda is survived by her son, Lonnie Keith Vaughn and daughter in law Shana of Waxahachie, TX; her mother Bobbie Hill also of Waxahachie, and he sister Rhonda Elam. Her uncle Leo Singleton and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Gilbert Sutherlin, her brother whom she loved dearly Buddy Sutherlin and her aunt Thelma Singleton.
Pallbearers will be Raul Barbosa, Servando Caballero, Joesph Browning, Todd Kelley, Scott Housouer and Robert Nabors.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation Monday, July 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 in the evening and Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services celebrating Brenda's life will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Brenda will be laid to rest at the Waxahachie City Cemetery following services Tuesday afternoon.
