Mrs. Poe, age 87 of Italy, Texas passed away Friday evening October 15, 2004 at Trinity Mission Health & Rehab in Italy. She was born October 28, 1916 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to Jesse Greenfield and Rosalie (Vaught) Tuggle. Mrs. Poe was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Italy and a member of the Eastern Star in Enid, Oklahoma. Mrs. Poe married Orville Theodore Poe April 3, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma and moved to Italy in 1988. She worked for Mr. Penney at the J. C. Penney Co. in Enid, Oklahoma at their notions counter. She farmed in the Knox City area from 1961 to 1988. She was known in the community as Grandma Poe. She loved to cook, sew and read.

Mrs. Poe is survived by: her daughter, Iva and husband Pic Maudlin of Italy, TX; brothers-in-law, Don Poe of Katy, TX and Leo Reddell of Seminole, TX; sisters-in-law, Jimmie Poe of Katy, TX, Mary Reddell of Seminole, TX, Edith Broach of Lubbock, TX, and Betty Poe of Knox City, TX; four grandchildren, Shari and David Phillips of Waxahachie, TX, Robin Everett of Dallas, TX, Michael and Melanie Everett of Italy, TX and Landa and Paul Parker of Coppell, TX; great grandchildren, Justin and Traci Phillips of Waxahachie, TX, Garrett Everett of Italy, TX and Adam and Brad Parker of Coppell, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Glen Tuggle and her sister,
Agatha Tuggle.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 Sunday, October 17, 2004 at the Boze Chapel, 161 W. Main, Italy, TX. 76651. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 18, 2004 at the Boze Chapel in Italy with Reverend Keith Murray and Reverend Korey Koch officiating. Pallbearers will be Hubert Chambers, David Phillips, Justin Phillips, Michael Everett, Cole Bailey and Bob Terry. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie.
