Bonnie Jo Grim 1935-2008

Bonnie Jo Grim entered Life Triumphant on February 18,2008 in Antigua, Guatemala at the age of 73.

She was born on March 12,1935 in Marshall, Missouri to Frederick and Zerelda Twilling. She attended high school in Marshall and college at the University of Missouri, graduating and becoming a certified Physical Therapist.

In her life, she was loved by many friends who knew her as a giver and active supporter of their family, her church and any cause she was asked to be associated with. Her vocation was physical therapy but her avocation was to exemplify the love of Christ to any she met. Her interests ranged from working the backstage productions for a local theater group to being involved with a children's foundation in Guatemala. It was the love of children and the people of Antigua that led her to Guatemala twice. At the time of her death, Ms Grim had become the surrogate mother to a young family in Antigua.

She also was an active participant in the Walk to Emmaus program and formerly been active at the First Methodist Church in Waxahachie and the Girl Scout-Brownie Program in Waxahachie.

Survivors include many local friends and families who will always call her their own .

Cremation occurred in Antigua, Guatemala where the remains will be interred, but her memory will live forever.

In lieu of flowers, a bank fund has been set up at Guaranty Bank, Waxahachie to defray medical expenses.

A memorial service was held Thursday, February 28th at 6pm at Red Oak Methodist Church, Red Oak, Texas.
