Bonnie Faye Davis, age 63

Mrs. Davis passed away at East Texas Medical Center in Athens. She was born in Avalon, TX. to Homer and Betty (Garner) Compton. Mrs. Davis was the wife of Joe Davis and a homemaker in their home. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she never met a stranger. Her hobbies and pastime were country music, cooking and she loved to fish. Mrs. Davis was of the Baptist faith.

Her survivors include: her husband, Joe Davis of Mabank; son, Jackie Dean Mathis of Ft. Worth; daughters, Theresa Brackeen of Hurst, and Kim Aguirre and her husband David of Saginaw; brothers, Homer Compton, Jr. of Ennis, Bill Compton and his wife Ruth of Waxahachie, Herman Compton and wife Helen of Waxahachie, Robert Compton and wife Geneva of Waxahachie, Doyle Compton and wife Mary of Denison, and Eugene Compton and his wife Marian of Southlake; sisters, Ludean Green of Waxahachie, Betty Robinson of Azle, Meryle Dawson of Waxahachie and Wanda Howard and her husband H. E. of Benbrook; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Thursday, January 26, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Pallbearers will be David Aguirre, Joseph Aguirre, Christoper Mathis, Mark Harp, Rusty Stalling, and Ray Harp. Interment will follow in the Forreston Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
