Bobby Wood

Bobby Dan Wood, 76 of Kemp, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born to the late Luther Wood and Nanalynn Pevehouse Wood on August 24, 1937 in Navarro County, Texas. Bobby married the love of his life, Lou Jenkins on August 22, 1969. He was educated in Dawson Public Schools. He served our Country in the United States Navy during the 1950's. He served as a police officer for Waxahachie and Ennis Police Departments. He also worked many years as a long distance truck driver. Bobby was an accomplished pianist and loved to play, especially gospel music. He loved his family and had a great sense of humor. Bobby's wonderful laughter will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Beatrice Moore; his brothers, Jack, Billy Joe, T. J. Burnice "Bully" and Weldon Wood. He is survived by his wife, Lou Wood; his children, Monte Woodson, Tim Holland and his wife, Renee and Vickie Hennington; he is also survived by 29 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
