Bobby Gray West Sr. was born November 27, 1939 in Waxahachie, Texas to Erbert Eli and Willie Eva Gray West. Being an only child, his parents depended upon him to help out on the farm. He graduated from Midlothian High School in 1958 and attended accounting school in Dallas. He was initially employed at First National Bank, prior to working for Gifford-Hill/Ashgrove Cement Company. He retired from his position as accountant after 37 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Midlothian for many years where he served on the finance committee. Bobby and his first wife Carolyn had two sons, Bobby Gray Jr. and Gregory Scot. He later married Jacqueline and had twin sons, John Michael and Andrew Jack. He selflessly cared for Jackie during her lengthy battle with MS. When Bobby married Barbara Williams Munn on March 12, 2004, he gained three more children and became the father to Dustin Munn, Robin Welch, and Stefanie Burroughs. He was also the proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren. Bobby enjoyed watching the Cowboys, the Rangers, and professional golf in addition to attending numerous events where the grand kids were involved. Together with his son John, he was an avid collector of antique clocks. He and Barbara enjoyed dining out and making new friends with everyone they met. Survived by wife Barbara and children Scot West of Midlothian, John and Jennifer West of Frisco, Dustin and Amy Munn of Maypearl, Robin and Randy Welch of Mabank, Stefanie and Travis Burroughs of Maypearl,19 grandchildren, numerous cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Andrew Jack, son Bobby Jr., and wife, Jacqueline. Visitation at Wayne Boze 1826 W Hwy 287 business Waxahachie from 7- 9 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. A graveside service at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis will be held at 10am on Wednesday, August 12. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. www. waynebozefuneralhome.com.
