Bobby Farmer, age 55

Bobby passed away Monday at Huguley Hospital in Burleson. He was born in Levelland, TX. to C. J. and Edith Catherine (Logsdon) Farmer. He graduated from Lubbock High School. He went to barber school out of high school and joined the US Navy in 1968, serving on the USS Montrose in the Vietnam War. He served in the Navy Reserves from 1970-1974. He married Sharon Edwards October 11, 1975 in Sundown, TX. He was employed with Kelly-Moore Paint Company for twenty eight years. Bobby was involved in the Cubbies Awana Midlothian Bible Church Program and small group Empty Nesters. He fished, was a stamp collector and wrote poetry.
Bobby is survived by: his wife, Sharon Edwards Farmer of Venus; his mother, Edith "Catherine" Logsdon Farmer; son, Eric Nathaniel Farmer, stationed in Hawaii with the US Navy;
daughter,Ginger Marie Farmer of Venus; and one sister, Shirley Sumrall of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his father, C. J. Farmer.
The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will be 9 AM Friday, February 13, 2004 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. The Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM Friday at the Midlothian Bible Church with Dr. Dave Wyrtzen officiating. Pallbearers will be Ken Pritchett, Jack McConaha, Bill Burdett, Craig Monk, Tom Lepper and Hugh Huber.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
