Bobbie Chambers

Bobbie Lou Chambers, 86, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Richardson, Texas. She was born in Mertens, Texas on August 21, 1931 to Hugh and Connie Price. Her family moved to Italy, Texas in 1941. She met Sonny when he was at his Grandmother Chambers' house across the street from her parents. The day after she graduated from Italy High in 1949, she and Sonny married. They moved to San Antonio where he was in the Army Air Corp. They returned to Ellis County in 1952. In 1963 they moved to Richardson. Bobbie was employed by Texas Instruments until she retired in 1985. She sold donuts for several years at their own Donut Palace shop and for her son, Bobby. She loved to spend time with her Grandchildren, Brandon, Becky, and Jake. When her Great Grandchildren came along she was more than pleased to watch them grow. Logan, the youngest, could always make her laugh. After Cecil passed away, her daughter, Diane returned to live with her in Richardson.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Chambers Swett; son, Bobby Cecil Chambers and his wife, Regi; her grandchildren, Becky Haggard and her husband, Gary, Jake Swett and his fiancée, Morgan McCauley, Brandon Chambers and his wife, Heather; her great grandchildren, Nathan, Taylor and Logon Chambers; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil "Sonny" Chambers, Jr.; her father and mother, Robert Hugh Price and Constance "Connie" Elizabeth Price; her sister, Margaret Catherine Price and also by her brother, William Morgan Price.

Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Tarno officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
