Billy Joe Stoffregen October 25, 1929 - February 10, 2015 Billy Joe Stoffregen, 85, passed away Tuesday morning. Billy loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was born in the Ike Community near Waxahachie to Charles Blon and Louella McAlister Stoffregen. Billy attended Waxahachie schools graduating in 1946. Upon graduation from Texas A&M College in 1950, where he served as a member of the A&M Corp of Cadets and The Sul Ross Volunteers, Billy returned to Waxahachie to work with his father at Stoffregen Implement Company,a John Deere dealership . Shortly thereafter, On November 3, 1950, he married Juanita Dunn of the Nash Community. Billy served in the US Army and Texas National Guard at Ft Hood and Ft Benning for twelve years. He was a 33rd Degree Mason for over 50 years. Billy's career also included serving as General Manager of Carlisle Chevrolet for many years. Billy received his Master degree in Liberal Arts at Southern Methodist University. He taught Distributive Education at Waxahachie High School, and later became Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance at WISD until 1990. Thereafter, Billy worked full time as a cattle rancher raising Black Angus until his death. Billy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Juanita; daughter and her husband, Teresa and Michael Harwell; brother, Glenn Stoffregen, and extended family members and friends.A graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday February 14th, at the Waxahachie City Cemetery officiated by Dr. Leroy Fenton. If anyone so chooses, the family would appreciate any memorials being in the form of donations to: Integris Baptist Medical Center, Nazih Zudhi Transplant Institute, Kidney Transplant Fund, 3030 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112. With God's guidance, Dr. Josie-Marie El-Amm and his highly skilled and dedicated staff saved Billy's life and then extended it for nearly five years of quality living that allowed him to do the things he loved with his family. Arrangements are with the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
