Billy Joe Catlett, age 73

Mr. Catlett passed away late Monday evening at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was born in Gilmer, TX. to Troy and Annie (Zachrey) Catlett. Mr. Catlett had lived in the Waxahachie area for the past 39 years, moving from Nacogdoches. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Larkin and had served in the USAF.

He is survived by: his wife, Etta Louise Catlett; children, Shelby Cawthon and her husband Steve, Stacy Williams and her husband Eddie and Scotty Catlett all of Waxahachie; brother, Howard Catlett and his wife Peggy of Conroe; sisters, Sue Casper and husband G. W. of Appleby, TX., Betty Commander and her husband Roy of Nacogdoches, Lynn Sims and her husband Paul of Beaumont; grandchildren, Colt Saylors, Courtney Saylors, Ryan Cawthon, Hayden Cawthon and Chelsey Catlett all of Waxahachie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He deeply loved his children. He adored and was adored by his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Graveside services at 10 AM Friday, October 24, 2003 at Waxahachie City Cemetery with Reverend Gary Morgan officiating. Interment will follow.
