Billie Jeane Burns Styles, 91, of Waxahachie, TX, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was born in New Willard, TX, on July 13, 1929. She graduated Lufkin High School in 1946 and then moved to Dallas, TX with one of her aunts to start a life in the big city. It was there she met and married Sam Styles, Jr. in 1955. She worked many years for the Department of Defense as an administrative assistant before retiring in 1995. She enjoyed playing her organ and played for her church for many years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and never missed an opportunity to tell others the word of God. She loved watching old movies and westerns, shopping, collecting angels, and her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Sam, her son Richard (Rick), her father C.B. Burns, mother Erah Burns, and sister Molly Burns Vardeman.
She was survived by son Steven Styles and wife Patty of Waxahachie, daughter Terry Latham and husband Johnny of Waxahachie, grandchildren, Travis Bancroft, Chris Styles, Royce Bancroft, Whitney Bancroft, and Clinton Styles, and 7 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM, April 9, 2021, at Forreston Cemetery, in Forreston, TX.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, April 8, 2021, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX.
