Billie Morris

Billie Morris, 89, a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas went home to be with her Lord and savior on July 9, 2012. She was born on November 5, 1922 in Dublin, Georgia to William and Rebecca Tanner. Billie was devoted to her husband, enjoying being a military wife and the travels they shared, both in life and during Raymond's Military Career. She was a beautiful woman and had a loving ‘spirit'. Those that met her felt an immediate connection. Billie never met a stranger. Her life centered around her family, friends and her faith in God. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Morris in 1999. She is survived by: Daughter Catherine and husband Lou Williams of Grand Prairie, Texas. 2 Sisters; Winifred Edge and Anna Lee Snellgrove, both of Dublin, GA; 2 Grand daughters, Susan Phillips of Grand Prairie and Tina Mitchell of Burleson; 4 Great Grandchildren, Jacob Cameron, Mia and Ava Mitchell of Burleson; Best friend, Jo Curtis of Grand Prairie. A graveside service will be held at the Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:15 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W, HWY 287 Business Waxahachie, Texas.
