Billie Ruth Davis, age 74
July 4, 1934

Mrs. Davis passed away at Renfro Care Center Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Davis was born in Waxahachie to WO and Voncille (McCloud) Holder. She was a 1946 graduate of Waxahachie High School and received her BA and MA from North Texas University. Billie married Raymond "Bud" Davis May 18, 1956 in Italy, Texas. Billie Ruth served as a School Teacher for 27 years with the Waxahachie and Ennis ISD's. She retired in 1984.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bud Davis, her son Brian Davis of Farmersville, and two grandsons Caleb and Mason. Also surviving is one sister Judy Galloway of Navarro County. Her parents preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service Celebrating her life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008, in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Ansel officiating.

The family request in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Sims Library in Billie Ruth's memory.
