William Adair Pearman, age 80July 11, 1929December 7, 2009 Mr. William Adair Pearman, 80, of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, December 7th, 2009 while in the presence of his family at Baylor Dallas, Dallas, Dallas County , TX . William Adair "Bill" Pearman was born in Leon , Iowa to Harvey D and Margaret E ( Adair) Pearman. He graduated from Bonner Springs High School in Bonner Springs , Kansas and received his Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma University . Bill served with the US Marine Corps during WWII and married Nola Cloud, August 19, 1950. After graduating from OU Bill was employed with Phillips Petroleum of Houston, Texas until moving to Waxahachie in 1962 to start Pearman Oil and LP Gas. Bill never retired, he just said he was an unpaid employee. Bill was a current member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie where he served on numerous boards and committees. Bill was a past President of the Waxahachie Optimist Club, served on the Board of Directors for Citizen's National Bank since 1974, and was an officer in the Texas Oil Marketers Association. Bill was also an avid Golfer and was a member of the Waxahachie Country Club and Pecan Plantation Country Club. He loved people. He never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone he knew. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nola Pearman, 2 daughters; Monica Wilson and her husband Steve, Patti Junkin and her husband Doyle, 1 son Michael Pearman and his wife Misti all of Waxahachie, 9 grandchildren; Meagan Cooper and her husband Russell, Dustin Junkin, Derek Junkin, Shelby Pearman, Savanah Pearman, Scarlett Pearman, Cubby Wilson, Tucker Wilson, Andi Wilson and 5 great grandchildren; AJ, Ally, Emma, Abby, and Mattie Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Philip Pearman, one granddaughter Sadie Pearman and one brother John Pearman. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening at the First United Methodist Church. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2009 also at the First United Methodist Church with Reverends Bob Rainey and Glenda West officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery . Pallbearers will be: Jim Barton, Robert Cox, Dr. Yomi Fayiga, Joe Keith Johnson, Don Locke, Don Pallett, Weindell Stiles, and Don Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Clarence Boyer, George Christ, Denny Dunivan, Jim Fanning, Dave Williams, and the Directors of Citizen's National Bank. The family request that memorials be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund c/o Betty Hunter, 779 FM 876, Waxahachie , Texas 75167 or the Charity of your choice.
