Betty Zavala

Betty Sue Langer Zavala, a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother went to her eternal home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday January 9, 2017.

Betty was born in Hillsboro, TX May 5, 1953 to Edward and Alice (Sager) Langer of Malone, Texas. Betty graduated from Bynum High School, and obtained an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Hill College. Betty enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of her loved ones, and would do anything for anyone she knew. She had a sweet disposition, an infectious smile, and was a devout Christian. Betty attended Christ the King Lutheran Church, and loved to teach children at church as well as her own grandchildren about the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her grand parents Bertha (Kaddatz) Sager, Herman Sager, Julius Langer, Mary Langer, Uncle,"Son"Sager, Father, Edward Langer, Mother, Alice (Sager) Langer, and Uncle Arthur Reinke. She is survived by her Husband of 27 years Fernando Zavala, daughter Elizabeth Cook-Ratliff (Harley), Jennifer Cook, and son Brandon Zavala. Beloved grandchildren Lissette, Mia, Scarlette, Marcella, and Eden. Aunts Esther (Sager) Reinke, and Wanda Sager. Mother in law Tommie Zavala, sister in laws Pearl (Ron), Thelma (David), and Maggie (Damon). Brother in laws Oscar (Paula), and Javier and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.She will be very missed, and was truly loved by her husband and all family members. We know she is Heaven rejoicing with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ where we will see her again.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 14th at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Waxahachie. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
