Betty Wilson

Betty Jo Wilson, a long-time resident of Maypearl, went to be with Our Lord on Wednesday the 15th of April in Waxahachie. Born on January 23, 1924, Betty was raised with her three sisters in the countryside near Grandview. She married the love of her life, B.J. Wilson, in 1942. Betty was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed sewing, baking, and shopping for her husband and their two children, Mike and Janice. She spent her later years enjoying time with B.J. on their cattle ranch in Maypearl, going on to reside at Brookdale of Waxahachie. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, B.J., of 70 years, on April 14, 2012. She is survived by her son, Mike Wilson and his wife, Jan of Kansas; her daughter, Janice Southall and her husband, Tommy of Maypearl; her grandchildren Kim & Kent Schrock of Houston, Cristy & Mark Hutton of Round Rock, Cole & Allison Wilson of Kansas, Matt Wilson of Colorado, Jason Wilson of Kansas, Justin & Katie Southall of Dublin, Billy & Alexandria Southall of Maypearl, and ten great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Friday, April 17, 2015 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
