Betty Mcadams

Betty E. McAdams, 76 of Ovilla, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born to the late Foster and Edna Hansen Karnes on August 20, 1934 in Corsicana. Betty loved her church family and was very involved in church. She was a member of the Cedar Hill Church of Christ, Cedar Hill, Texas and attended the Ladies Bible Class. She was involved in World Bible School and enjoyed working with cancer awareness groups and grief support groups. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a big supporter of her grandchildren and always attended their activities. Betty will be missed and continually loved by so many. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Latimer and her husband, Ken of Ovilla; her daughter by heart, Lettia Ledbetter and her husband, Alan of Midlothian; her brother, Bill Karnes of Plano; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Grady, Rachel, Madison, Jake, and Victoria Latimer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Joe McAdams; and by her sister, Laurie Jean Graves. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Cedar Hill Church of Christ. Graveside services will follow at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Those serving as pallbearers include, Cole Dodson, Colby Landry, Alan Ledbetter, Jerry Wacaster, Karl Berry and Shannon Monk.
