Betty Jane Jones, 84 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Alvie R. and Ester Marie Lambe Ricketts on February 29, 1924 in Greenville, Texas.
Betty loved to sew, cook and spend time with her family. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed the times she spent with them. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie and loved her church family. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her son, John R. Jones and his wife, Linda J. of Hewitt, Texas; her daughter, Linda Chamberland and her husband, Bobby of Waxahachie; her sister, Frances Davis and her husband, Howard of Wolfe City, Texas; her brothers, Richard Ricketts and his wife, Rhonda of Wolfe City, Texas, Jim Ricketts and his wife, Mary Louise of Sherman, Texas; she is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Lisa Czajkowski and husband, Tony of Waco, Mark Jones of Waco, Jason Chamberland and wife, Michelle of Hallsville, Brian Chamberland and wife, Leslie of Corsicanna, Aaron Chamberland and wife, Shawntel of Waxahachie; and 10 great grandchildren, Krysten, Scott, BreAnna, Cody Daniel, Shawn, Beaux, Blake, Cody Lane, Kaycie, and Audrey.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Mace H. Jones; and by her parents, Alvie R. and Ester Marie Lambe Ricketts.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August, 16, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, Texas.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
