Betty Brown

Betty Jo Brown, 69 of Waxahachie, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 in a Dallas hospital. She was born March 29, 1947 in Maypearl, Texas to the late Memory and Gladys Eckeberger.

Known to her family and friends as Betty Jo, she worked for Venus ISD, where she retired after 20 years of service. She will be dearly missed by so many who knew her and loved her.

Betty Jo is survived by her devoted husband, Randall P. Brown; one son, Robert Keith Ramsey and his wife, Tammy Phillips Ramsey; 3 grandchildren, Courtney Marie Padgett, Corey Ryan Padgett and Cody Patrick Ramsey; 4 great grandchildren, Cailyn, Cayden, Kylee and Brynlee, all of Waxahachie; 3 sisters, Evalyn Davis of Arlington, June Jones of Rankin and Judy Roberts of Maypearl; she is also survived by her brother, Melton Echeberger of Bowie and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; also by her sisters, Patsy Woodall and Peggy Wooldridge.

Those serving as pallbearers include her nephew, Greg Roberts, her grandson, Corey Padgett, her grandson, Cody Ramsey and her dear friends, Frank Gonzales, Carlos Stone and Donnie Nail.

Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
