Betty Duff Brindley, 83, formerly of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009 in a Kirkland, WA hospital. She was born to the late Charles L. and Julia M. Duff on February 19, 1926 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Betty attended the University of Arkansas. She worked as a Airline Hostess for Braniff Airways from 1946 to 1952. In December of 1952 she married Hanby Sam Brindley and made a home her first home on the Brindley farm in Maypearl, Tx. Betty was a talented Seamstress, loving mother and the perfect Hostess. She will be remembered for her great grace, sense of humor and generous nature.
She is survived by her son Samuell S. (Karen) Brindley, daughter Katherine D. Brindley, Sister-in-law Dorothy Richards, Granddaughters Beija Brindley-Bagent and Cassandra Brindley.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hanby S. Brindley.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Hillcrest Burial Park under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
There will be a celebration of Betty's life following the graveside service. Information will be provided at the service.
