Betsy Faye Crawford January 26, 1971 October 6, 2011 Betsy Faye Crawford 40, of Waxahachie went to her lord on October 06, 2011. She was born in Garland, Texas January 26, 1971. Betsy was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church (formerly St. Paul's UMC). She was awarded a lifetime membership pin from the United Methodist Women while serving the Lord at Cornerstone UMC. In 1998, she moved with her mother to Waxhachie. There she became a member of the First United Methodist Church. She fought cancer and the results of radiation for 34 years. She graduated from J.J. Pearce in 1990. She worked for the staff of Garland Family Medical Center for several years in medical record and was greatly enriched by the friendships. She was known for her love of Christ, love of life, funny sense of humor, and her big hugs. She is survived by her mother Beverly Crawford of Waxahachie; father & stepmother: Ben & Kay Crawford of Carrolton, Texas; aunts and uncles; Richard and Ethel Johnson of San Antonio, and Rosemary and Fred Miller of Summer, Tx., Also 6 cousins and numerous second cousins. She leaves behind many friends and relatives who will miss her, also a very special friend , Marge Ruchotzke, who came to help take care of her when needed, travel and shop. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clarence & Wilma Johnson of Waxahachie, and paternal grandparents, B.F. & Margaret Crawford of Rockwall, Texas. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Sunday, October 09, 2011 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Robinson, Steve Goings, Allen Duvall, Charlie Robinson, Tom Mehr and Ron Davidson. The family would like to thank the Vitas staff who were so caring during Betsy's illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ellis County SPCA, 2570 FM 878, Waxahachie, Texas 75165 or to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 8585 Stemmons Freeway, Suite 700, S. Tower Dallas, Texas.
