Bertha Mae Patterson, age 87

Mrs. Patterson, lifelong Waxahachie resident, passed away Sunday at the Renfro Health and Rehab in Waxahachie. She was born in Five Points to T. H. and Pearl (Moses) Jacobs. She attended Waxahachie Schools and married N. A. (Pat) Patterson July 2, 1991 in Gatesville, Texas. Mrs. Patterson was an inspector for Haggar Slacks and Jean Manufacturing. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Waxahachie. Mrs. Patterson was always there for everybody and everyone loved going to Aunt Mae's for home cooked meals. Aunt Mae, as she was known, always remembered everyone's birthday.

Her survivors include brother T. H. Jacobs, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Waxahachie; sisters Sammie Moore of Waxahachie, and Billie Jean Croy and her husband Frank of Keller; nieces and nephews: Nancy Forbes, Susie Humphries, Holly Humphries, Bonnie Stewart and husband Ronnie, Todd Jacobs, Larry Croy and wife Sheila, and Linda Croy; great nieces and nephews: Karen and Mark Lockridge, Ron and Krista Stewart, Jake and Stephanie Stewart, Phil Stewart, Wayne and Debbi Good, Jeff and Tammy Good, Jeff Croy, Laura Croy, Justin Jacobs, Josh, Randy, Amanda Hamm and Stevie Joe; great great nieces and nephews: Bill and Becka Lockridge, Benjamin Lockridge, Skylar and Summer Stewart, Jaycee and Dash Stewart, Tray, Haley, Chelsea Good, Austin and Jacob Merriola, Mitchell Good. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Pat Patterson in September 2002, nieces Mary Lynn and Pam Klos, and sisters Eloise Venable and Mary Elizabeth Humphries.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the Bethel Cemetery with Mark Lockridge doing the eulogy. Interment will follow.
