Benny Shaw

Benny Dean Shaw, 68 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away March 17, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. He was born January 27, 1946 in Waxahachie, Texas to the late Charlie & Jessie Archer Shaw. Benny attended schools in Waxahachie and later went to work for Owens Corning Fiberglass where he worked for over twenty years until his retirement in 2010. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, camping. He loved his dogs and cat, he will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his partner in life: Margaret Churchwell of Midlothian, Texas; 2 sons: Rodney & Nicole Shaw of Beaumont, Texas and Brad and Lorenda Shaw of IdaBel, Oklahoma; 1 Daughter: Tammy & Scott Crenshaw of Chandler, Texas. Step-Children: Debbie Phillips of San Angelo, Texas; Rusty Churchwell of Wichita Falls, Texas and Becky LaRue of Houston, Texas. Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren: He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Harold "Bunk" Shaw and Robert Shaw. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Shaw, Glen Seabolt, Wade Drummond and Dave Sobotka. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014 graveside at the Sardis Cemetery with Rev. Kelleigh Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
