Benjamin Martinez

Benjamin Martinez, 68 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in Waxahachie. He was born October 13, 1946 in Avalon, Texas to the late Fortino & Virginia Esparza Martinez. Benjamin served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1974 and worked for Flexsteel Furniture and Holcim Cement until his retirement. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife Alicia Martinez of Waxahachie; 2 Sons: Benjamin Martinez, Jr. of Waxahachie, Philip & Debbie Martinez of Waxahachie; 2 Daughters: Hope Martinez Winter and husband Billy of Waxahachie and Monica Martinez Williams and husband Charles of Waxahachie; 3 Brothers: Reuben Martinez of Waxahachie, Demetrio Martinez of Venus, Texas and Rick Martinez of Desoto, Texas; 3 Sisters: Lucy Martinez of Venus, Texas, Eppie Esparza of Venus, Texas and Sylvia Chandler of Waxahachie, Texas; 11 Grandchildren: Brittni, Jordan, Tristan, Benjamin II, Damien, Trent, Gavin, Ethan Martinez, Haley & Jacob Winter and Payton Williams. 1 Great Grandson: Jeremiah Quinones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers: Joseph Martinez, Peter Martinez, Ismael Martinez, Jimmy Martinez, Daniel Martinez and sisters: Anita, Josephine and Elizabeth Martinez. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Rudy DeLeon officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
