Bea Lott, 91 of Ennis, passed away Wednesday November 19, 2008 in a nursing home in Ennis. She was born to the late D. W. & Ova Mae Wortman in Goff, Texas.
Bea married Royce Lott of Forreston on December 20, 1935. For several years they made their home in the Sardis Community before moving to Waxahachie. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church. Bea started school in Goff and after the family moved to Waxahachie in 1927, she attended the Central Ward School. She graduated in 1944 from the University Beauty School in Dallas and for many years owned and operated Lotts Beauty Shop in Waxahachie. She and her husband enjoyed fishing and hunting. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds which always had an abundance of Zinnias in the spring and summer.
Bea is survived by her children, Carolyn Rosson, Linda Spence, Edwin Lott and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, David Sprinkle and wife, Carrie, Chad Spence and wife Debbie, Brad Spence and wife Shelley, Jeremy Lott, Ashley Regar and husband, Dale, Amanda Lott and Meshia Bacon and husband, Todd; great grandchildren, Kandice Anderson and husband, Reggie, Denise Sprinkle, Lanie Spence David Sprinkle, Jr., Cody Buchanan, Dale Regar, Jr, Haley Regar, Linda Matlock, Brittany Bacon, Blake Bacon, Brooklyn Bacon, and Colton Lott; and her brother, Claude Wortman; and 3 great great grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, and Christine.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Royce Lott; son-in-law, Kelton Spence; great grandson, Chris Rogers; and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sardis Cemetery with Bro. Michael Howard and Bro. Tim Grant officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
