Barbara Southard

Barbara Ann Southard passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022. She was born to John and Jewel (Seabolt) Browning, May 4, 1933 in Howard, Texas.

She met her husband Gilliam, while working at Tyler Refrigeration in Waxahachie. They married on New Years Eve 1953, and had been married sixty one years at the time of his death in 2015.

She was a life time member of the Brown Street Church of Christ.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brothers, John, Bob, and Edward Browning. She is survived by her son Gil Southard and wife, Debbie; grandson Adam Southard; and granddaughter, Bridget Tschippert and husband Brandon. She is also survived by her brother Charles Browning and wife Dixie; sister, Pat Freeman, and sister-in-law, Rethea Browning, as well as nieces and nephews.

Gil and Debbie would like to extend their personal gratitude to all the nurses and staff at Brookedale Senior Living for their compassion and care.
