Barbara Louise Shook

Barbara Louise Shook, age 85, of Waxahachie, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 20th, 2023. She was born in Dallas, Texas on July 15, 1937, to James Walter Bellah and Minnie Pearl (Renfrow) Bellah.

Barbara was married to Robert Eugene Shook for 56 years before he preceded her in death in 2013.

Family was always Barbara’s passion. She loved HERS with all her heart and soul, embracing every moment with them.

Barbara will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile, caring heart, and unconditional love.

Her life was well lived, and she was well loved. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by: Quincie Pearl Epley of Rowlett, Texas, Kathy Sue Shook of Balch Springs, Texas, Robert Eugene Shook Jr. (and Terri) of Corsicana, Texas, Sandra Lee Carouth (and Richard) of Harker Heights, Texas, Avender Gayle Shook of Kaufman, Texas, Paige Lamar Shook (and Sue) of Dorothy, New Jersey, Jefferson Lee Shook (and Jennifer Lei) of Midlothian, Texas, her “bonus daughter” Shelley Johnson (and Peter) of Hawkins, Texas and YuLin Liao of Plano, Texas and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a countless number of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Walter Shook of Waxahachie, Texas as well as her parents and siblings.
