Barbara Jean Richmond, 71 of Glen Heights, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at her residence. She was born to the late Bill & Janie Metzer Barrow on October 25, 1937 in Dallas, Texas.
Barbara loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the holidays and decorating her house. Barbara loved children and enjoyed baby sitting which she did for many years. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Wayne Richmond of Glen Heights; her son, William Colwell of Red Oak; her daughters, Donna Braden of Waxahachie, Terri Lesly of Red Oak; step sons, Jeffrey Richmond of Saracuse, NY, Michael Richmond of Mantena, IL, Terry Rintila of Bradley, IL; her step-daughter, Cynthia Odom and her husband, Steve of Bradley, IL; her brother, Charles Barrow of Dallas; and her grandson, Justin Lesly.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Lucas and by her parents.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard, Texas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Red Oak Funeral Home.
