Barbara Coker

Barbara Jean Washburn Coker, 73 of Waxahachie, passed away January 3, 2013 in a Dallas hospital. She was born to the late Johnnie and Mary Martell Hamm on June 06, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. Barbara enjoyed traveling and quilting. She retired from AT&T after 30 years, working in Dallas and California. Barbara loved her grandchildren and family and loved spending time with them. She is survived by her husband, Neal Coker of Waxahachie; her sons, John Washburn and his wife, Julie of Spokane, WA, Kelly Washburn and his wife, Victoria of Arcadia, CA, Scott Washburn of Waxahachie; her daughter, Suzanne Hum and her husband, John of Seal Beach, CA; her brother, David Ham; she is also survived by 8 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Mary Hamm; and also by her brother, Johnnie Ham. A memorial service to celebrate her life is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Waxahachie. A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
