Mrs. Cockerham passed away Sunday at her Italy residence. She was born in Dallas, TX. to Warren W. and Carrie Jean (Goodman) Ferguson. She was a registered nurse at the Medical Arts Hospital, Corsicana, TX. and a member of the First Baptist Church, Italy.

Her survivors include: her parents, Warren and Carrie Ferguson of Mertens, TX.; husband, Darrell Cockerham of Italy; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Ronda Cockerham, also of Italy; daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Jerry Burch of Mechanicsville, VA.; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Linda Ferguson of Bryan; eight grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Reagan and Halee, John, Jordan, Jillian and Jacob.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Italy Boze Chapel, 161 W. Main, Italy, TX. The Celebration of her Life will be 3 PM Thursday, January 5, 2006 in the Italy Chapel also, with Reverend Ronnie Dabney officiating. Pallbearers will be Jon Mathers, Jody Mathers, Michael Chambers, Rodney Guthrie, Scott Lawson and Stephen Lawson. Interment will follow in the Richland Cemetery, Mertens.
