Aurora Acevedo

Aurora Trinidad Ponce Acevedo, 75, was born in San Diego, Texas on May 31, 1942 and passed away in Alvarado, Texas on March 11, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Acevedo, father, George Ponce, mother Aurora Ponce,, sister, Modesta Garcia, brother, George Ponce, Jr. , sister, Luisa Fernandez and son, Armando "Sonny" Acevedo.

Aurora is survived by her loving sons, Mario Daniel Acevedo and David Acevedo of Grandview, Texas, 25 grandchildren, and 66 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Felix Ponce and sister-in-law, Eva Ponce of Freer, Tx., and several nieces and nephews. Children of Aurora Trinidad Ponce would like to express their deepest gratitude for all the love and support received from family and friends and a sincere thank you to the staff of Alvarado Meadows Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie. Interment will follow funeral services at the Maypearl Cemetery. Visitation will be observed on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
